Our Story
Bridging the gap, breaking the cycle
St John’s Care, an outreach initiative of St John's Anglican Church, has been committed to addressing the challenges of disadvantage, isolation, and financial hardship in the Canberra community. Since our inception in 1991, we've provided emergency relief and ongoing support to vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community using a trauma-informed care framework. Rooted in compassion, respect, and advocacy, our volunteers and staff work tirelessly to offer hope and practical assistance to those who need it most.

Our Vision
Empowering Communities
Our vision is to build a community where everyone can thrive. We aim to tackle the issues of financial hardship and social disadvantage by delivering comprehensive support services that enhance self-reliance and dignity. Through the unwavering commitment of our volunteers, donors, and partners, we strive to create a future where every individual has the opportunity to overcome economic and social barriers.
